One Stop Shop
We offer a range of solar panel systems to suits the needs of your home or office, with solutions dependent on your roof dimensions, Clean energy requirements, and budget.
Solar power is the conversion of energy from sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaics (PV), indirectly using concentrated solar power, or a combination.
Concentrated solar power systems use lenses or mirrors and tracking systems to focus a large area of sunlight into a small beam. Photovoltaic cells convert light into an electric current using the photovoltaic effect.
Photovoltaics were initially solely used as a source of electricity for small and medium-sized applications, from the calculator powered by a single solar cell to remote homes powered by an off-grid rooftop PV system.
The STC rebates are calculated according to the zones.
NSW falls under the category of Zone 3.
The Rebates calculated are:
Once you have your zone, note down the ‘rating’ number:
Zone 1 – 1.622 rating
Zone 2 – 1.536 rating
Zone 3 – 1.382 rating
Zone 4 – 1.185 rating
Here’s how to calculate how many STCs you are eligible for:
Solar system size (kW) x Postcode Zone Rating x Deeming Period (years) = Number of STCs (rounded down).
Use the STC calculator to get the exact rebates.
String inverters are the most cost-effective inverter option available. Installation companies will generally offer you a system with a string inverter if your roof is not shaded at any point during the day and does not face in multiple directions (such as a gabled roof).
Your solar panels are arranged into groups connected by “strings.” Each string of panels is connected to a single inverter, which transforms the DC electricity produced by the panels into appliance-friendly AC electricity.
String inverter technology has been used for decades. It is a tried-and-true technology, but is not suitable for certain types of installations.
A string of solar panels will only produce as much electricity as its least productive panel, if one or more of your solar panels is shaded during any part of the day, the power output from that entire string would be reduced to its level. For this reason, if your solar panels are installed facing different directions, a string inverter may not be a good choice.
One of the most common reasons for a panel to produce less power or stop producing power altogether is shading from nearby objects. If your roof is prone to shading any time during the day or in certain seasons, you could either remove the source of the shade (e.g. cut down a tree) or install the panels where they will not be shaded.
A power optimiser is a DC to DC technology developed to maximise the energy harvest from solar photovoltaic systems.
They do this by individually tuning the performance of the panel or wind turbine through maximum power point, and optionally tuning the output to match the performance of the string inverter.
Power optimisers are especially useful when the performance of the power generating components in a distributed system will vary widely, such as due to differences in equipment, shading of light or wind, or being installed facing different directions or widely separated locations.
